Subject: Hi Shell! Great to have you here. Most of us here would give positive reviews of the unabridged recordings. Davina Porter is a wonderful reader! I've found that hearing the books, as opposed to reading them, let me pick up on details that I hadn't noticed before, even after multiple rereads. All I can say is give one of the recorded books a try and see what you think. Welcome! Hope to be seeing you around the 'broch! This is a great place for passing the time until the next release.

I, too, had some misgivings, but Davina Porter is amazing. See if you can rent Outlander from your local library, give it a listen, then let us know what you think.
