Subject: I loved Summer Garden. At first I admit, I was thinking well don't I already know all this, but there was a lot I didn't know like the flashbacks to Tatania's childhood- those were fascinating, if you love Tatania and want to know what makes her click and what causes some of her faults. And then at the end, with their son, Holy Cow, that got exciting! And I learned a lot about Viet Nam. And well, I just really really go for Alexander and can never get enough of him! And I found the end so poignant- it goes farther than that epilogue. It is expensive to get the books I know but I think there's a paper back club, Doubleday, that has them cheaper.
In reply to: Trixiara 's message, "The Summer Garden................Sorry to repeat, but I do remember reading that someones asked should she continue, becuase it was soo depressing... I have really enjoyed the first two, and liked the happy epilogue at the end, which I now realise is nothing like the third book. Do I just finish here, or should I read the Summer Garden?.. I have it in my basket on amazon, but am too scared to click order!" on 03:16:26 11/11/07 Sun
