Subject: I think the series you mean is The Time Travelers by Linda Buckley-Archer. Book one was originally called Gideon the Cutpurse, but in the US they changed the title on the paperback edition to The Time Travelers. Book 2 is called The Time Thief in the US. I haven't read them yet, but I've had many kids tell me they are fun. I just read a really cute teen type book with time travel called Prada and Prejudice - a modern girl trips in her high heels and finds herself in 1813 England. Its a lighthearted fun spoof of romance novels and Pride & Prejudice.
