My sister left this one for me to read, I really enjoyed it. When Chloe's grandmother Miriam dies, she takes her unusual necklace off and makes Chloe swear to never take it off. Following Miriam's death, Chloe inherits her cottage, her mother Hannah and brother David are overlooked in the will, and this is not the only odd thing. Who is the stranger who makes himself known and asks for the talisman? What is the mystery surrounding Miriam and Hannah's past?

Linwood Barclay - No time for Goodbye
I'm half way through this one, loaned to me by a work colleague. The tag line is Gone wothout a trace. Until now...
14 year-old Cynthia is having a bit of a rebellion, and has a massive fight with her family after her father finds her in a car with an older boy and drags her home. The next morning she wakes up and no-one is in the house.
25 years later, the story is picked up by her husband, and there is still no clue as to what happened to her family all those years ago. Offered the chance to make a tv show recapping on the mystery, they take it, and the rest of the story unfolds from there. As I said, I'm still reading this one, but it's gripping.
