Subject: Yes. In a word. The good things about the DHs is that that you don't have to read them in order (although it is good to). And you can read a few, read something else, and read a few more. The third thing is that, while these are good, fun (someone else said 'fluffy') books they are not so inthralling that you can't wait for the next one, and they are a bit easier than some, like Outlander, to put down while you do the dishes. Also, I'm not sure which site you got your list from but on her official site some of the books are repeats, for example there are at least 6 books which contain the story of Kyrian and Amanda. I suggest you go by the characters when you're checking the titles. Since they all contain some of but not all the same characters if you can't find one or another just skip it, anything really important that you might miss you can figure out easily enough. And, since you figure out the main story by page 3 there are really spoilers, as such. Plus there is no real continuing plot line, in the sense of Outlander of Fever, although there is sort of an underlying plot line in the sense that the books do (mostly) flow in a time line.

There are 2 books, 'The Beginning' and 'Second Chances' which are parts I & II of Archeron's story, they can both be found in the book 'Archeron', that one can be read anytime but you will partly spoil the mystery of who Archeron really is (although we still don't know the whole story) so you may want to save that book for last.

Finally, the 'related' books. This is a whole world, there are Dark Hunters, Dreamers, Daimons, and Were-creatures, various types of each creature. All the Were-aminals' stories are semi-related and so on, and each creature's story has some of the other creatures in it, but they also are different parts of the largers world, if that makes sense.

  • I read JR Ward, Charlaine Harris, Lara Adrian and have read most of Sherrilyn Kenyons books and have enjoyed them. They are a much simpler read than something like Outlander. (NT) -- CarolSR, 09:08:27 03/27/11 Sun
