Subject: If you want a shortish one for historical fic you could try The Widow's War by Sally Gunning. Pamelalass loaned it to me and it was excellent: set on the Cape in the 1700's. Some good YA fantasies that are crossover adult are Graceling or Fire by Kristin Cashore or Sabriel by Garth Nix. And a short scifi (also crossover YA) is the Keeper Of The Isis Light by Monica Hughes.

  • Historical fiction--try Arianna Franklin. She is the most wonderful, quick read. Set in the time of Henry II, and both serious and funny. (NT) -- Susannah, 07:33:03 01/13/11 Thu
