• Wow Rachel, you've read some great books there. I loved "The Book Thief", "Molokai", & "The Help". Saw "The Forgotten Garden" recommended below. Are any of the others you listed really good? Recently some good ones I've read that would be suitable for book club are "The Red Tent" (fantastic book), "Mr Rosenblum's List" (thanks Marg - really enjoyed it), "Arthur & George" (see post way down). Some other really, really good ones read not so recently are "Midwives" (can't put down), "These Are My Words" and the beloved "Guernsey Literary & Potato Peel Pie Society". • You've read some great books! Here are some you may want to consider. "The Thirteenth Tale", "Shadow of the Wind", "Lamb: the Gospel According to Biff", "Pope Joan", "Bel Canto", "The Kitchen Boy", "Room", "Same Kind of Different As Me", and "Glass Castle". • Two books that I have read lately and that I would highly recommend are Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand and Cutting for Stone by Abraham Verghese. Another one is Matterhorn by Karl Marlantes, but it is not a book for everyone. It is a novel about a marine company in the Viet Nam War, based on the author's experience. It is very realistic and gave me bad dreams, but if you want to know what Viet Nam was like this is a good book to read. (NT) -- Mari L., 08:05:28 01/28/11 Fri

• Our book club just read Sarah's Key by Tatiana De Rosnay and really enjoyed it. Our book for next month is called How High the Moon by Sandra Kring, it was just announced last night so I don't know anything about it.
