I thought it was a pretty good ending to the 5 book series. There have been other series where I have been very disappointed, but this wasn't one of them.

The picnic on the roof at the end was stupid, but there are still enough missing threads for KMM to pick up on in another book or 3. We know we'll see Dani, Christian, and Ryodan again because there are still a lot of questions about them. We still don't know who "spiked the orb". There are still a lot of things we don't know about the Book and the deep "lake" in Mac's mind. Also, Dublin is still a mess and the unseelie are still loose.

I too was surprised that V'lane ended up being Cruce and was disheartened by that. I still thought Barrons was the man for Mac, but I liked V'lane alot too. Hard to tell who the "good guy" is - I don't think there is one. I also questioned the way the Unseelie King just left with the Queen/concubine at the end. She ended up being a non-issue - didn't even speak a word!

Anyway, I loved the series and am currently doing a reread.

      - Agreed about the reading more. Moning is on my list of 'definite reads'. And I'll almost certainly re-read the whole series in a few months, and probably like Shadowfever more when I do. I sort of stuck SF into the middle of Anita Blake, the series I'm reading now, and I'll admit when I do that I try to project the feeling of the 'main' series onto the 'interruption'.
