• Actually though, both Merry and Anita do love all their lovers. Just in a different way than we usually think, you have to wrap your head around it. Funny how we can just accept that faieries or vampires or whatever exist - ok this is the world of the book - but we are stuck on the one love, one lover rule. Not saying I could do what they do (yeah, just give me than chance...*leer*) but that's the 'norm' for them, especially the Anita Blake, so roll with it and have fun.   • That's true, some really great relationships develop over time. But there is a lot of sex going on with a lot of others too. LKH's characters gain power through sex.
