  • I'd like to put in a plug for the author of this review - Megan Turner. Queen of Attolia is one of my all time favorite YA books. It has plot twists and turns that I never saw coming - almost better on reread when you appreciate how cleverly she's put in hints. The Thief is her first novel, but a bit younger in feel than Queen. Thief reads like an adventure story, Queen has this whole other level of bittersweet loss and longing and palace intrigue. If you read them out of order you spoil the surprise ending of The Thief, but if you're only going to try one Queen Of Attolia gets my vote. (NT) -- HollyC, 06:01:51 10/28/10 Thu

  • It's going on the list as we speak! (NT) -- AmyGirl, 07:30:28 10/28/10 Thu

  • I have read the first three of the Megan Whalen Turner books and think they are excellent reads! I have Conspiracy of Kings here to get to sooner rather than later. (NT) -- Marg, 20:46:37 11/02/10 Tue
