Subject: JA Konrath - Jacqueline "Jack" Daniels series

Jack Daniels is a Chicago police Lieutentant and with her constantly eating partner, Herb, is based in the Violent Crimes division.

This series is billed as a tougher Stephanie Plum, and whilst there are some good dead-pan one-liners, its not laugh out loud like the SP books.

That being said, I really enjoyed the series so far. There are seven boosk, all with drink related names, and the latest Shaken has just come out.

So if you like a police thriller type book, but a little less intense than Kathy Reichs or the Scarpetta books, then I think you will enjoy these.
