Bearing in mind she writes about the medieval period it's difficult not to write about battles. They were always fighting each other! Each to their own though. I know there are lots of books I wouldn't normally have chosen to read, but read them on the recommendation of fellow Hosers. Some I didn't like and put down, but some I totally loved and have become firm favourites. If I didn't at least try them I'd never have found out.
