• What is this? Song of Love & Death? Is it DG? Roger's parent's story? Also, what is the BDD series? Also, I need advice. I started the first Lord John book, but didn't finish it. Is that bad? Are there any things in those books that will help me with the other books? I know it's shallow, but I just want more Jamie & if there isn't much or any Jamie then I lose interest.. I'm bad.   • First off that should be BDB, Black Dagger Brotherhood, which is a series about vampires, but with a bit of a different spin - a lot of us like them quite a lot (great sex, hunky men). Songs of Love & Death is an anthology originally to be called Star Crossed Lovers, that title sums up the theme. There is a short story by Diana (recalling a short story by her is a novel by any other *G*) about Roger's parents, at some point Frank actually met Roger's father - but that's about all we know of what happened between them. Some of us love Lord John (personally he's my 2nd fave after Jamie) and the books, some of us don't. You don't have to read them to appreciate Outlander but I think they add a lot - especially when you get to Echo. Diana has said the LJs are part of Outlander, not separate.
