Subject: Holly: Another interesting place to put on your list that I wish I had known about: not long ago I was reading an article in a British travel magazine about this couple who bought a house in northwest Wales and it turned out to be built on the site of Aber, Llewelyn's castle. I can't find the article at the moment, but it was so interesting. Part of the ruins of the castle were in their basement or something. Maybe some of the UK hosers can give us more information. I don't know if it is open for tours. I remember reading that the lady said people kept driving up to her house and asking to walk around because everyone knew that was the site of Aber. I think it is on the highway between Bangor and Aberconwy. It's almost a sacred spot in Wales because of its association with both the Llewelyns, elder and younger. Anyway, if I ever have the good fortune to get to Wales again, that will be on my list for sure.
