Subject: Lucky you! What a fascinating place to live! What I remember from visiting Europe is, buildings from the 1700's and later looked so NEW compared to the ancient stuff. I wandered around some towns with lots of stuff from the 1200's in ecstasy. Where I live, anything before 1930 is rare and considered old --that is, if it wasn't bulldozed down decades ago to build a shopping center. I have to visit Chester someday.
In reply to: albion 's message, "Hi Holly, I was born and mostly bred in Chester (we call ourselves Cestrians). Yes there are remains from from the 1200's in Chester, and even older as the city was founded in AD 79 by the Romans >>>>>>>> Come inside" on 09:39:17 04/29/10 Thu
