• I loved these books years ago but after reading about five one after the other I found myself quite down and couldn't put my finger on why but I realised that I had emersed myself in the sordid (if thats the right word) world of Kay Scarpetta and while they were really really good books, too many one after the other had made me maudling and depressed. I stopped reading them and found I couldn't pick them back up again. Such a shame because I completely agree that they are excellent books. Does anyone else ever feel like this? I've just finished Ken Follet's World Without End and am looking for something lighter now as its brought me right down again with all the misery and death. Weird I know.
