Subject: double take!!!! When I first read your post I thought you were saying you loved VD--veneral disease--as a kid . . . and I thought we had really strayed far from the romance department! Comes from teaching too many "health" classes to teenagers, I suppose! (although now we say "STD") Glad to see you meant Valentine's Day . . . (BG)
In reply to: Lemora 's message, "I loved VD in elementary school, when we had an extra art class to make cards for our mothers, and it was an excuse for a party with SWEETS! But as a teenager and an adult, I've never been into it, for reasons already stated. Boyfriends were relieved, and I've been spared having to go to "festive" public spaces on February 14. (I think my objections are mainly aesthetic; I know the world can always use more romance, just not with pink and red harts!)" on 17:34:23 02/09/09 Mon
