Subject: Emily & Rachel...
In reply to: kgp 's message, "It's obvious he's lived with the Mohawk, she knows he's a scout. That he's had another life will not be a big surprise, as jayn ahs said. I think she will feel sad for him and maybe a little jealous of Emily's memory, especially if they should meet up again at some point." on 10:00:51 02/09/12 Thu

Oooohhhhh, kgp - I do hope Rachel meets Emily. That's just too awkward a situation to pass up! I think Rachel is kind-hearted enough to accept Lizard and Ian's previous life (but she's also human enough to feel a touch of jealousy). But I do wonder if William will insist on pouring salt in the wound in his efforts to cause friction between Ian and Rachel (going purely off of DG #DailyLines that hint of a triangle). William knows that Ian had a wife, and he guessed that Ian was sad for losing her. He could very easily bring this up to Rachel to try and drive a wedge... or is my mind just super devious!?

[> [> [> [> Ah, luckily (and thanks to people on this board!) I went back and read certain parts of 'Echo', to find the scene where Ian meets Lizard. William learns of Ian's wife, Emily, in chapter 37 - when they bump into each other on the road. William asks Ian how he came to be Mohawk, and Ian explains he married a woman of the Kahnyen'kehaka. When William asks as to her whereabouts, Ian cryptically says "I am no longer wed." And a little further into the chapter, William is present when a man called Glutton tells Ian of Emily's current situation (married, with a son and daughter) - though William is fluttering in and out of this conversation, because of an injury. But William is conscious enough to put two-and-two together, Ian's interest in this woman's home life, and his previous statement "I am no longer wed." Then William and Ian part ways - William with the Hunters, Ian to visit Emily and ask if she is happy. -- Danielle, 13:20:36 02/10/12 Fri
