My husband and I just traveled to Ireland in May/June 2005. We had a wonderful trip. It is a beautiful country. In Co. Kerry I suggest to drive the Ring Of Kerry. It is a 110 mile road around the Iveragh Peninsula. There a views of the seasoast, the mountains, lots of little towns to see and some ancient sites that are really interesting. I made some fantastic pictures. We drove it counterclockwise, starting in the town of Killarney and ending in the town of Kenmare. Stop while in Kenmare and spend some time. It is a really neat place, not as touristy as Killarney. There is also a good fish and chips place in the middle of town. While in Kenmare we stayed in a nice B&B named Grenane Heights. It is run by a friendly family with 3 daughters. As for County Kilkenny we didn't spend any time there, however I know from my maps of Ireland that you may be close to the Waterford Crystal Factory, in the town of Waterford. This place was really interesting. You can take a tour of the factory and see how the crystal is made and even buy some at the end of the tour if you want to. We didn't spend any time in Dublin except to fly in and out. I hope I have been some help. I wish you a great time and take lots of film.
