Subject: Things you hear at the gas station (True story)

I had to pick up some triple A batteries for my husband's little set of speakers yesterday and ran to the gas station a couple blocks from our house. I asked the (male) attendant where they were and he gestured to a display behind the counter. I asked for the type I needed and he got them, commenting that they had all sizes because "Everything needs batteries nowadays." I just nodded and got out my money to hand to him, when he followed that up with "...except men." I don't think my eyebrows have ever shot up so high in my life!
