Subject: Today, This American Life featured the true story of how a bogus black market arms dealer led the FBI on a wild goose chase after 9/11. Undercover agents, posing as (bogus) shady arms buyers asked him to get them a missile and some other heavy duty fire arms. When the arms were procured, the agents complained that they all had serial numbers and thus, could not be purchased. >>>>

The bogus dealer --in apparent seriousness-- asked "Why?" This did not tip them off that he was a fraud. He was arrested. When he was eventually tried (as an Al Qaida operative!?), the jury found him guilty, figuring that he may not be 'ready', or 'able', but he was definitely 'willing' to sell arms to Al Qaida and he apparently is in prison as a convicted terrorist to this day! (He never did get the missile, coming up with lame excuses for over a year!) Where are the Marx Brothers when you need them?
