I couldn't get this story premise out of my head last night, so there I was stretched out in bed, staring up at the ceiling and thinking about twins. One of the comments above dealt with the genetics of identical twins, so maybe a child of a single birth, rare as one would be, would be prized above all others since this child does not share his/her genetic code with anyone else. Just a thought. I love the way this storyline sounds, though!

I hadn't thought about that aspect of it. Now I wish I knew a bit more about genetics. I'll have to do a lot more research in my copius free time...(that was sarcasm, by the way...;-)

No seriously, it is quite detailed and I learned a lot about twins from Wikipedia :)
