You do keep things interesting around here! *snerk* And your replies grousing about it are hilarious. "I swear I'm not drinking, but I'm thinking of starting."

As to the actual reason you posted in the first place, this is perfect. You've included enough medical information to make it clear you know what you're talking about, and giving the average reader an understanding of what's going on in that ER without clogging up the works with medical jargon, or going too deep into it.

Valerie's relationship with her brothers is so real -- warm, loving, and with enough smart-assedness on the part of the brothers to irritate a sister without pissing her totally off.

And the line about looking for the renegade pill that escaped Daniel's grasp? Brilliant!

Hugs,

I did have a glass of wine after that last fiasco. As I didn't try to post here again, the positive or negative effects remain unknown.

Thank you. I've done a little looking into the subject in the past and revisiting the protocols was interesting. In a rabies endemic area, it's a good thing to know about. The actual injection of the bite sites came from that research. *shudder* I'm not needle-phobic by any stretch of the imagination, but the idea of having to endure injections around cat bite wounds gives me chills.

I'm glad you think so. As an only child, I have no experience to base this on, aside from my relationships with co-workers and watching my extended family at the holidays. That it rings true to you makes me feel good about it.

Any excuse to let them tease one another and fling innuendo!
