I agree with Esther, especially since all they do is kiss.

And this may be way off, but does the "betrayal" have to be centered around sex? Coming from such an open lifestyle and mindset, I'm thinking it could be something else that triggers the rift between Adam and Katie. Maybe Adam's working on a song and Katie innocently shares it with Jay. Or maybe not that but something similar. It seems like that would cause more pain to Adam than her being unfaithful sexually.

Just an idea.
