Subject: Looking for Squadron designation - 9th AAF

I'm looking for information on the P-47 Thunderbolt squardon of the 9th AAF that used a picture called "Frisky Fox" for their squadron. The Fox is pictured standing with a bomb under one arm and a broom in the other, and is wearing a top hat. My father flew in that squadron, and the picture is on the front breast of his A-2 flight jacket. Unfortunately he didn't talk much about the war when I was a kid, so I'm starting from scratch.

Thank you for any information you can give me.

Terry Lehmann
