367th Bomb Squadron, 8th AAF

Hi Brian, Wonderful website! I was trying to research a patch I came upon when I found your site and I am in awe.... The one I have is similar to the one you have listed as the 367th Bomb Squadron, 8th AAF but there are some differences. First, I was wondering why there is a nine on your patch, even though it is for the 8th AAF? Mine is a canvas patch with roughly the same facial figure but facing left and with a protruding red tongue, one drop of red blood hanging. It is yellow-orange with a blue border, brown face with whiskers, blue helmet & goggles, sharp white teeth, no number associated. The shape of the patch is lobate, with four distinct lobes, (sort of a truncated clover shape.) The colors almost bleed through the patch and the artwork appears to be silkscreen. I would appreciate any info you might have and thanks again for the great site, Ray
