Subject: How long did it serve?

Just a curiosity: how long did the Willis WWII Jeep serve in the US Armed Forces? One of my reference books says it was substituted by the M422 Mighty Mite in 1960, although I remember seeing US jeeps on Viet Nam footage and on the news till very recent times. My opinion is that it never went away after all!!

I've had the chance to make friends with some people who give a lot of time to get some of these old glories back to running again...a sign of trong passion and commitment...
