Subject: wwII Jeep

My dad drove a Jeep in wwII. I think it was for a one star general. It was named after me Little Jane Ellen. the number on the jeep was U.S.A. 20206971. How can I find information on this jeep, and who the general was, and where they served. It was 1941.
