Hi! My fiance and I adopted a female deaf Pit Bull, Baby. We don't know about her home life before us and her exact age is unknown, but she was estimated at around a year old. She has been doing great adjusting to life with us and our Pit bull/Lab, Buddy. She has taken to signs very well. Our only real problem is that she attacts all the shadows on our walls. She is obsessed with them. She sits looking at the walls for long periods of time waiting for them. When one comes up she bites at the wall and jumps at it. We don't let her sit next to the walls; she sits with us most of the time. We catch her doing it all the time, she is not out of our sight when we are at home. We have tried to distract her with toys and signing "no," among many other things.The only things we have not done is hitting her or time outs. She does really well when we communicate "no" to other things. We wonder if maybe because she can not hear them, she thinks it is really someone there. Any advice would be wonderful. My fiance sister-in-law is a dog trainer who is studing animal behavior, but we can not get ahold of her until next month. Thank you. Amy
