It's been forever since I've been to this message board, but I've been thankful over the years that it was here. I became a fan of JAG when I watched the first season on NBC. Of course, CBS and all the fans made it an even more wonderful experience. I was just looking through some old, old computer files and found some fanfic by Kath & Kerrington. Does anyone know what happened to those gals, or how to contact them? I was friends with quite a few people here, but have lost contact over the years. It's good to see people still talk on here!

- Dumb Question - Re "The Stalker" -- Meg, 02:42:09 06/20/07 Wed
Okay, it's been forever since I've seen the ep and I'm not sure where my tape is at the moment. (And I have been a very bad girl and haven't been keeping up with getting the DVDs, although this ep might not be on a season that's been released yet anyway).
Anyway, I have a hazy memory of at the end, Coster tasering Harm in the ankle and Harm falling down the stairs. Did this happen, and if so, how bad was Harm hurt? And how did they get out of it?

I'm loving the pictures from the BMW golf tournament! Catherines outfit is to die for, and I love the picture of David throwing the golf ball instead of hitting it. My favorites though, of course, are the pics of them smiling together in the background, and the one where Catherine had hit a shot and is grinning and David is behind her, close-by cheering.

- Shocking news for NCIS fans -- JJ, 18:44:42 05/05/07 Sat
Check out this shocking news from NCIS
The tense NCIS standoff between Mark Harmon and Don Bellisario that I first told you about two weeks ago has ended as dramatically as it began: Sources confirm that the veteran producer has agreed to step down as showrunner, effective immediately.
I hear he'll likely be replaced by co-executive producer (and longtime Bellisario collaborator) Chas. Floyd Johnson and headwiter Shane Brennan.
As NCIS' creator, Bellisario will still retain his executive producer title (much like AS-P did on Gilmore Girls), but he is no longer in charge of the show. He's not leaving CBS, however. (Lucky them!) He'll develop two new projects as part of his overall deal with the network.
As I reported, insiders say Harmon has been frustrated for some time with the long hours that resulted from Bellisario's "chaotic management style." And in mid-April, things came to a boil.
"Mark's been working every single day, 16 hours a day," the mole told me. "Don tries to micro-manage everything. Script pages get faxed to the set at the last minute, and Mark is tired of dealing with the huge impact that makes on his life."
Shortly after my original story ran, an NCIS insider sent me this cryptic message via e-mail: "The situation over at NCIS? It's much worse than you think."
That much is now obvious.
So, what do you guys think? Did the right man step down? Based on the results of this poll, I'm guessing your answer is, "Hell, yeah!"

- Mac and Flying -- Meg, 11:22:30 04/26/07 Thu
Why is it that Mac goes flying with Harm on Rules of Engagement - and seems to be enjoying herself in the process - if she normally gets airsick in a plane like that? Did I miss something?

- I think Mac's problem with flying had to do with the G's that the fast jets are able to fly at. The biplane wasn't able to go that fast and she had not problem with that. (NT) -- NanaSue, 13:54:29 04/26/07 Thu
- That makes more sense. Thank you. (NT) -- Meg, 15:54:09 05/16/07 Wed
- This is a late answer, but maybe useful. Although slower, a Stearman can pull almost as many Gs as an F-14. It's not just speed, it's also wing loading and power to weight factors. But the closed cockpit of a fighter, with the G-suit, rubber face mask, heavy helmet and constrained air flow produces a much hotter and more uncomfortable ride then the open cockpit, leather helmet of a Stearman. Think about a car ride on a winding road -- are you more likely to get sick in a convertible with the top down, or a closed sedan with the heat too high? (NT) -- Bingo, 17:10:32 06/06/07 Wed

Just curious as to whether any of the board 'veterans' are still around. I know a lot of people (myself included) pretty much disappeared after the series finale.
I first came here on May 5, 2001 (I remember because it was three days before Lifeline and the board was in full hype)... I was 12, and everyone panicked because I was so young. I celebrated my 18th birthday last week.
The first time I posted this it didn't work so sorry if it double posts. How come the post thingy at the bottom of the page doesn't work anymore? I miss this place, I get all sad and nostalgic coming back here.

- DJE Coments on ET Canada -- bt, 14:11:26 03/10/07 Sat
- I agree with the first portion of your post bt, but not the last portion. DJE didn't need to make a ridiculous comment like this or the others he did either, he's just vindictive. And HE unlike others has the advantage of having his children on the set with him when he's working which any other profession doesn't. He had the added priviledge of having his wife work on the show and he could have had his daughter join him on the set as well, but he chose not to, SO WAAAH to him. (NT) -- Amanda, 21:56:50 03/10/07 Sat
- As far as him growing as an actor, NOT. He hasn't grown in my opinion at all. And as far as his contract negotiations, don't blame dbp, DJE made another crappy comment on ET when they asked him if he was coming back if Jag got renewed and he sarcastically said, "We'll have to see what the money people have to say." DPB had a horrible time negotiating DJE's contract the last time and DJE wanted 1 mill. per episode, which is ridiculous. I have no pity for him, he got what he deserved. (NT) -- Amanda, 21:57:54 03/10/07 Sat
- How exactly do you know how much he wanted in his negotiations? Were you there? How do you know he didn't have his daughter on the set? Were you there? He's not going to have a huge amount of time even between scenes when he was half of the show's focus, to spend time with her. She obviously saw him on the set or she wouldn't have thought he lived there. Unless you were standing there when everything went down then you can't really intelligently comment about it. (NT) -- Sick of all of this., 01:18:32 03/13/07 Tue
- I can't say for sure that he's grown since I don't know what he was capable of before that he never got the chance to show. But his performance on the last CTH ep was amazing. I knew he was a good actor, but I had no idea how good he could be. This character is more open than Harm was though, I've got no doubt he could have done the same thing on JAG if the character had called for it. But it was still a great performance. (NT) -- Meg, 17:24:17 03/13/07 Tue
- His performance on CTH last Friday was boring. He can't act any better now than he did on Jag. He's stiff and boring and the show is awful and boring. I'm glad you liked his performance and the show, but I'm sorry I don't agree. (NT) -- Amanda, 19:45:50 03/13/07 Tue
- I suppose acting is a great deal in the eye of the beholder, just like beauty is, but many of us thought DJE did a fine job on CTH the other night, and in many JAG episodes as well. You are perfectly welcome to dislike him and the show(s) he is in, but if that's the case, why are you here posting to a big group of his fans and fans of the shows? I strongly doubt you'll change any minds here. No one is perfect. We like DJE, but if you don't, why don't you find someone you do like and post on their boards? (NT) -- Deemus, 20:41:19 03/13/07 Tue
- Because I liked Jag for the other characters and used to like DJE. Also, not everyone here likes him or his work so I can post my opinion along with others who don't like his work or the show. If you read the posts, there are none fans of his here as well, and we're welcome to post on topics such as these just as much as you are even if it isn't the same viewpoint as yours. (NT) -- Amanda, 21:43:43 03/13/07 Tue
- Why are you jumping on Amanda, not everyone here is a big fan of DJE. I thought that this was a JAG board not a DJE or Harm board, I watched JAG because it was a military show. DJE did a good job with the Harm character but the other actors on the show passed him by on the depth they brought to their characters. (NT) -- Edna, 19:04:13 03/14/07 Wed
- I don't think it's so much that she's not a fan. She doesn't have to be. That's okay. It's the personal statements she's making about him as a father, and that he's cry baby, and how much he wanted per episodes etc, when she has no proof or practical experience to back up the statements. She doesn't know him, so it's not really fair for her to say those things. (NT) -- Theresa, 15:16:22 03/16/07 Fri
- There is proof (it was printed in three magazines) And you're doing to her what you accused her of doing. You don't know if she knows him or has met him. Don't profess to tell people what they know and don't know or that they have no practical experience. Who the heck are you to know what people's experience and knowledge and proof are. You don't want to believe people that have met him as well as accounts from guest stars that have met him and said similar things, then Don't, but don't scold and tell people what they know and don't know, it's annoying and self righteous. (NT) -- Kathy, 12:19:08 03/20/07 Tue
- What magazines? People make statements about the articles and I've never been able to find anyone who can tell me which articles. I'd really like to know. My saying Amanda doesn't know him, comes from Amanda's never saying that she does. She's angry enough about what she believes his behavior is, to say "I know this for a fact because I've talked to him, and I know him" but she didn't say that. If she knows him she can pipe up and tell me I'm wrong that's fine. But even meeting someone or talking to them doesn't show what kind of father they are unless they are with the kids at the time. (NT) -- Theresa, 13:15:30 03/21/07 Wed
- The articles were discussed a few years back on most of the boards. If they aren't in the archives and you can't pull them up I guess that's a problem for you. It's been a few years and people don't necessarily hang on to magazines and articles from 2-3 years ago to prove a point to people like yourself that missed it or don't want to hear about it. The fact is there are those of us out there that have met him and experienced first hand what he's like. So again, Don't tell people what they do or don't know, and dont' preach to people about it. Inside... -- Kathy (this discussion is over on my part), 13:09:12 03/22/07 Thu
- The ones making statements aren't saying "I was there." If they do say that, and give their first hand accounts, I don't have any problem with it. If they aren't there, then all it is, is gossip and hearsay. As for the articles, I'm just curious. I don't care how much he asked for, I'd just like to see it. I found an article about his contract, but it didn't mention his original asking price. I didn't say I'm the grand anything, know all see all...of anything. All I asked is, "were you there?" No one I've ever asked that has answered in the affirmative and given their account. (NT) -- Theresa, 16:26:57 03/23/07 Fri
- My roommate doesn't like the show much either - she usually surfs the internet while it's on. And I can understand posting on the JAG board - but why did you watch CTH? Get duped by a preview? (NT) -- Meg, 22:46:03 03/13/07 Tue
- who cares about him.I like the show and I got what I what with Harm and Mac. (NT) -- Renee, 23:30:28 03/12/07 Mon
- NEW JAG DVD'S -- bt, 19:39:29 02/23/07 Fri
Saw the 1/2 price for JAG at Walmart also. Made me think about a comment DJE made during an interview with enewsCanada on 1/12/07 saying that if he looked back on his life he wasted a quarter of his life on JAG. Not sure what his problem is but that is a real slap when he would not be where he is today, in his life, if it were not for JAG. It just turned me off and from now on I will wait for the 1/2 price DVD's. I really liked the whole cast and as far as I am concerned if it were not for Catherine Bell and the rest of that great ensemble cast JAG would have been just as boring as Close To Home. Just goes to show one person can not take credit for "carrying" a show. I don't believe CTH's rating are as good as JAG's were. Maybe he is still smarting over that fact that Bellisario would not negotiate with him for one more season on JAG. Would really love to know what happened. I like DJE. He is a good actor, thanks to JAG, but it is really disappointing when he says negative things about a great series.

- I'm with you bt on this one. I'm so tired of the excuses made for what comes out of that mans mouth. This isn't the first arrogant and slap in the face comment he's made. This comment "If I died right now I'd have wasted a 1/4 of my life on Jag", has nothing to do at all with him not spending enough time with his family. That's is such bull and just an excuse. If he wanted to spend more time with his family all he had to do was bring his daughter to the set with him like most other actor/actress parents do. And what the he**, his wife worked on the show with him. (NT) -- sick of dje's arrogant remarks..., 18:08:37 02/25/07 Sun
- I am disappointed that DJE felt like he wasted his time on JAG. I think JAG was a good show and that it allowed him to have a lifestyle and financial freedom 99% of the rest of us could not imagine. I spend 12 to 14 hours at work many days a week without the big bucks he earns and I miss a lot of time with my family. It seems that he could be more appreciative. (NT) -- Jaggie, 19:23:50 02/25/07 Sun
- Oh man, don't even get me started on what comes out of this guys mouth. He's made comments like these since he left Jag and they don't surprise me just as his earlier ones don't anymore. I agree with what you said also bt. (NT) -- Kathy, 11:22:17 02/26/07 Mon
- I don't think DJE's feelings are at all unusual. Personally, if I were to die tomorrow one of my main regrets would be that I spent so much time working (read that as wasted) that I didn't really enjoy the things and the people who are closest to me. I don't know of anyone who regrets more time with their family, but I know a lot of people who are sorry they spent so much time on their jobs. Just another viewpoint. (NT) -- NanaSue, 01:39:50 02/27/07 Tue
- Just an unfortunate thing to say...maybe out of context ..or maybe said out of bitterness with the negotiations in the last year of JAG.... But it sounds so ungrateful... and it makes him sound like a big jacka**.... Too bad...He made alot of money and tons of loyal fans out of that 10 year waste of time... (NT) -- Artie, 21:14:32 02/27/07 Tue
- All I think he meant was that he was type cast now and can't find roles that would show all his talents as he's not young anymore. But, I think he will find more roles soon, he 's too good to be missed. (NT) -- DAR, 10:14:53 02/28/07 Wed
- I have actually heard really negative things about DJE in person... that he doesn't think JAG was good enough for him and that he was jealous of all the attention CB got... I don't know 100% if they are true but I heard them from a reliable source inside production. So this doesn't really surprise me... but it does surprise me that they left it on the DVD! - Enjoyable Brumby Moment -- Meg, 03:02:07 01/24/07 Wed
I can't remember the ep name, but it's when Harm is defending Skates in court, season 5. Anyway, I enjoyed it at the end when Brumby comes out and says to Skates, "I'll have to remember that defense strategy, just tell the members Go to...." The way he said it was so warm and was such a direct contrast to his comment about "We're members of this family by acquaintance only" on Adrift. Here, he really did feel like part of the JAG family and someone you'd enjoy hanging out with after work or visiting with. It was just a special moment that I thought was worth bringing up again.

- Contrary to most people, I rather enjoyed Mic. He was the kind of guy I would probably like for a friend. No, I don't think he was the one for Mac, that's only reserved for Harm, but I still liked him. Thanks for the reminder! (NT) -- Marlene, 14:13:34 02/06/07 Tue
- Hey Marlene, I enjoyed Mic too. I thought he was hilarious. His enthusiasm for Mac knew no bounds even though I knew he didn't stand a chance. I too wanted the H/M paring at the end but Mic was the perfect foil for Harm. He was just the person to jerk Harm's chain and prod him into confronting his feelings for Mac. I once bit the bullet and wrote something I called in defense of Mic on the Mac board. Of course it generated a debate mostly vs Mic but I survived, LOL! (NT) -- Jubellant, 04:17:23 02/13/07 Tue

- The Return -- Meg, 21:23:38 01/15/07 Mon
This ep just aired on History Channel. I remember when I originally watched, the outcome had me livid, but since I am no longer the ardent addict I was at the time of the episode, I wanted to watch again to see what an unbiased perspective would make the outcome look like. I have to say that from an unbiased perspective, the ep proceeded to still tick me off.
- First of all, re the conversation between Mac and Harm in his office when Harm said something about how he won't assassinate one man's character to get another off. I think Mac was right and I think this wouldn't have been unfair to go after the Captain after what else we knew about the captain's actions.
- Lt. Nelson was an arrogant jerk. I'm certainly not going to dispute that fact. That being said, his C.O. certainly was out of line with his actions of manipulating Lt. Nelson into deliberately disobeying the order. In that case, the order was certainly unlawful. And I'm sorry, but being willing to drop the charges just because someone apologizes seems slightly hypocritical. I realize that it was about Lt. Nelson's attitude and what the apology would symbolize, but the lenghts the C.O. went to in the process were too far. You'll accept an apology and withdraw charges, but if he won't apologize you're going to send him all the way to court martial so that he will probably face losing his career? To me that's a manipulation of the justice system.
- And the C.O. was one to talk about being arrogant. His performance on the witness stand made me even more angry than the outcome of the episode. His whole tone and some of his comments on the stand...AARRRGH! By the time he was finished testifying, I wanted to serve under him for ten minutes, just so he could give me an order and I could tell him at the top of my voice to stick his order up his six. I'm sorry, I would never do that in real life, but the way he talked on the witness stand had to make him one of the most exasperating people we ever had to see questioned during the entire ten years of the series. People who take their authority and deliberately rub other people's noses in it just about send me unhinged. The C.O. talked about good leadership qualities - to me that type of action speaks of poor leadership.
- I suppose the ending was correct given what evidence the jury had versus what we had. Kind of like having to release a killer when you know he did it because the evidence wasn't enough. Doesn't make it any less aggravating to watch though. At the least, I would have rather they left out the fact that the Captain deliberately targeted one sailer a cruise and harassed them nonstop. Since it couldn't come up at court, it just served to make the whole thing more aggravating. The outcome would have felt better and more satisfying if they'd just taken that storyline out altogether.
There's a saying in France "You can't run with the hares and chase with the hounds at the same time" and it felt like the episode did just that. We were supposed to chase with the hounds after the Lieutenant because of how arrogant he was and how he did disobey an order, and yet run with the hounds and applaud that regardless of his attitude in the process, he was taking a stand against an unfair action.
The ending also felt a little rushed. I think they should have taken the Jordan scenes and moved them to the next week or something and allowed more time to be spent on the ending. And at the very least I'd have liked to hear the C.O.'s response to the question about his order being unlawful. He would have had to answer the question in court, no change of scene would save him in real life. I felt gypped.:)
Overall it was interesting, entertaining, and probably an ep I will be avoiding the next time it's rerun for the sake of my own sanity:)

Does anyone think there will ever be a "reunion" ep/show/tv movie?

- I would doubt it. Much as I would love to see them all again, the last episode really broke up the crew. Mac and Harm are presumably either in London or in San Diego, but the other main characters are back in DC. The whole atmosphere and plot would have to be different. So, I doubt we'll see anything. (NT) -- Deemus, 19:01:23 12/26/06 Tue
- Wouldn't it be wonderful? I miss them so much, if the 'don ' recreated the show, he would have another ten years without Vucovic, of course, and the Rabb's with their children would be a great show. Oh well, I can dream can't I? (NT) -- DAR, 10:07:19 12/27/06 Wed
- Heck No! Dpb will never do a renunion ep. or movie because he wanted to leave the ending ambiguous and he won't resolve that. To be quite honest, i don't want to see one either, Jag is over and done with, everyone has moved on and CB and Dje are gonna stay as far away from each other as possible. And that's O.K. by me because CB's career is going gang busters on her own. (NT) -- Kathy, 12:03:41 12/27/06 Wed
- No way would I want to see a reunion/update. I thought the ending was in the top 3 series finales I have ever seen (and I have been watching TV for 50 years), behind only the series finale to Magnum, PI and the second Bob Newhart series (the one set in Vermont). We are left to our imagination for all the wonderful future adventures of our favorite couple -- anything left to the imagination of DPB would pale in comparison. (NT) -- Bingo, 13:34:49 12/27/06 Wed
- Add me to the I don't think so campaign....I know some fans were upset because there wasn't more shippery stuff, but the way JAG ended leaves it to everyone's own perception. The non-shippers can say that things didn't work out & Mac & Harm went to their new respective commands...the Harm fans can say he won the toss & they went to London...the Mac fans can think she one the toss & they went to San Diego....Any type of reunion I'm afraid & TPTB would have them divorced, or worse yet one of them having died, & for me it was a happy ending & one I'm satisfied with. (NT) -- Jennifer, 16:46:52 12/27/06 Wed
- I don't know if it was enough of a hit, but I would enjoy something like Dallas and Knotts Landing, where the actors come back and reminisce in between showing clips of episodes and bloopers and things like that. (NT) -- Meg, 19:53:20 12/28/06 Thu
- Thanks all for a great bunch of replies. I'm not sure I'd want to see it either. If anything I'd rather see how Bud and Harriet are doing, and maybe a follow up on that Coates and that old (bad girl) friend of hers. (NT) -- TV Junkie Mom, 22:51:32 01/03/07 Wed

Does anyone else find that if you turn the closed captioning on while watching Embassy, the newscaster's words don't match what's being printed? I know my copy is a syndicated one from History Channel, so maybe that has something to do with it, but it seemed really bizarre. Any idea why that is?

- Whoa! Color me confused, how did Catherine Bell become involved in Dar's thread about David on Close To Home? This topic IMHO was about David's new gig, which I don't watch & is why I didn't comment, why in the world was Catherine Bell brought into the mix? Why was it necessary to make deragatory comments about her when she's not a factor in Close To Home? Not all JAG fans adore both actors, & that's understandable. We all have our favorites & those we don't particularly care for, but I'm just confused as to *why* Catherine's name was mentioned when this thread has nothing to do with her. - Close to Home Promo -- Meg, 16:01:04 09/06/06 Wed
Just thought I'd let everyone know that they aired a promo during NCIS for DJE joining the cast of Close To Home. They show a shot of him as Harm saluting and said something like "On JAG he protected the country." Then they show clips from Close to Home, including one of him talking to the press and someone opening a door to find two girls bound and gagged (the camera is in the perspective of the person entering) and say "Now you'll see him protecting the rights of victims" or something like that.
His hair is a little longer, kind of like how he wore it on Street Legal around the time his character was shot for the second time. From the look of the promo, I'd say his character is going to be very dedicated and committed to the victims, and not someone we're going to love to hate, but you never know. Singer seemed likeable and spunky on her first couple of JAG eps as I recall and look how that turned out!
Anyway, thought you guys would want to know.

Now having seen the interview I think that he was just saying he was not the lead in this show s he was in Jag. Who knows how the interview was edited. Acting is a business and to stay on top you have to promote yourself. I think the way DB treated him in the end made him realize this and he is out to make a living for his family. I didn't hear about any of his co-star backing him because their careers are important to them. CB was willing to go on as top billing on Jag if the was another season. That is not a critizism but a statement of fact.

- So what you are saying is that CB should have offered to quit the show in support of DJE? Ask Chuch Carrington and Kerri Turner how supportive DJE was to their making a living for their families when he demanded a big salary increase. (NT) -- Jaggie, 13:35:34 08/26/06 Sat
- Don't forget Randy Vasquez in that group...they all had their parts slashed or eliminated due to the salary bump in S8..... (NT) -- Gunny Forever!, 13:43:44 08/26/06 Sat
- I don't think that's what pam was saying. Yes, it's a business, and you can be supportive and cooperative at work, but in the end, you have to put yourself first. Why should CB have "offered to quit"? I'm sure no one, least of all DJE, would expect that. The facts are, eight years as a lead in a well-rated TV show means money. People, and production companies, have to make choices. What most of us object to isn't the non-rehiring, but the manner in which it was done. (NT) -- Deemus, 13:47:07 08/26/06 Sat
