Subject: Mira I guess you missed the article on ET Online were he had this to say "When CBS said, 'You are cancelled,' I rewrote the script, the scene between Harm and Mac," Bellisario explains. "I am not going to say what happens, but I think all the fans will be satisfied and I will be satisfied because it is an ending that still leaves something hanging in the air. [Viewers] can debate and everybody can have their own view of what happened in the end. I just wish I had a little more time to build up to it." So obviously he knew before the ending was filmed so who is to say what we might see.

That sounds like the same answer different words to me. Maybe like in Farscape, the coin goes up in the air, but never falls to the ground. Rick out of the blue asks a known call girl to marry him. There is the build up to the wedding. The open secret was Magnum going back into the Navy.. Surprise is Lily his little girl isn't dead and rejoins him.. At the wedding Magnum shows up in dress whites, everyone surprised.. When the time comes to say "I do." Rick has problems and we never know if they did marry.. The last shot is of Magnum in uniform shutting off the television.
