Subject: What war crimes?
In reply to: Mabee 's message, "How else should we treat them?" on 10:17:29 04/03/03 Thu

Is it a war crime to executed someone who is aiding the enemy in time of war without a trial? This is exactly what Mr. Bush wants the power to do in this country.

Is it a war crime to threaten people in order to make them fight to defend their country. Well then the Selective Service System is a war crime.

Besides, I don't by all this propaganda that the only reason they're fighting is because they are being blackmailed and threatened even if it were a war crime.

Is it a war crime to have chemical weapons and protective gear. Well, then the US is guilty of war crimes.

There is no use of illegal weapons. There is no ethnic cleansing. What are the war crimes?

It just looks to me like the killing isn't going to stop after the war is over. If we are going to prosecute and kill these people for defending their country from an invasion by a foreign superpower in the face of overwhelming odds then we will simply be taking the absurdity of this war to an even higher level of absurdity.
