Hello, Gina. Glad to here you're back at it.

Since you've kind of stated that you'll be done with the Millenium series after installment #20, I don't actually expect you to try and integrate this idea into the series now, but I must say, I've always wondered how the Unimatrix Zero concept would work in your universe.

In the real series, Seven discovered that she'd lived this whole life there and even had a lover, Axum (hated this fact), but I always thought it'd be really interesting if it turned out she'd had a relationship with a young woman and/or that Axum could have been her brother or something (you know, like what if Seven's mother was pregnant when they were all assimillated?). Or what if the Borg Queen herself had been a member/citizen of Unimatrix Zero and Seven had had a similar May-December relationship with her like she does with Janeway? Would sure explain the Queen's obsession with Seven, don't you think?

Overall, it just seems to me that one of the things you've yet to explore is a real, more internal threat to Janeway and Seven's relationship. For instance, everytime Janeway has gotten jealous of Seven's admirerers, it's always been Janeway's problem, her seeing things that aren't there, or fearing that Seven will find one of these other women (Tazna or Lenara) attractive and leave her. Throughout both the Just Between and Millenium series, however, Seven has never been tempted to stray. Janeway sits smug in the knowledge (except, of course when she's being irrationally jealous) that she is Seven's first in most things.

But what if it turned out that seven had had an entire relationship with another woman in UZ?

I wish I was talented enough to write a fanfic inspired by your fanfic, because I'd definitely explore this concept. Like I mentioned before, I don't expect you to, especially this late in the game. But's it's something that's been nagging at me for far too long, and I just had to get it out.

P.S. Another thought I had for exploring a storyline where Janeway and Seven's relationship is upset by a past lover for Seven would be similar to Fletcher Delancey's character, Revi (not sure if you've read Fletcher's Voyager fiction). If not, Revi is a former assimillation drone whom is connected to Seven through a borg transceiver; they are drawn to each other immediately and viscerally, exchanging emotions and thoughts so quickly and unbeknownst to the rest of the Voyager crew that they quickly fall in love, shocking everyone on the ship, where Seven is concerned. Even if such a character and Seven didn't have a past connection, it would be interesting to see how Janeway (and Seven) would deal with Seven bonding with someone (other than Janeway) in a way she never could with Janeway.

P.P.S. This is the last of it, I swear. There's also the Season 7 storyline of Seven's cortical node degrading. On the show, Icheb donates his. Not sure if you'd make it stay that way. But I feel that there's promise in this idea, too. Especially, with the added conflict of the Millenium not being able to jump quickly back to the Alpha Quadrant. If Seven's cortical node began to degrade, what would Janeway do?

Okay, I'm done for now, just wanted to throw some ideas your way. Probably should have done it a year ago, when there was more of a possibility you might use them.

Thanks for the incredible stories you have given us, though.

K.T.

You are aware that I brought them home in JB after the Haunting of Deck Twelve and before the Unimatrix Zero (and the seventh season) because I absolutely hated the whole concept. Unimatrix Zero was one of the stupidest things Voyager came up with. As someone else said, it completely undermined the horror of the Borg. Essentially, Seven was no longer such a tragic figure, she was just someone with an incredibly boring day job. Her night life was apparently great.
