You got 5 new readers when I found a link to your work Gina :) Your stories were so good I had to get my gf to read them to, and my friends who shared an interest in Voyager. If I had to pick one thing I love about your stories then it would be the commitment your characters have to each other. Other fiction and tv shows seem to think everyone wants the drama of a cheating spouse, or love lost and found with someone new. You manage to keep the characters interesting and fresh without resorting to such tactics. Even in the story where 7 left Kathryn you didn't milk it for 20 'episodes' like so many have done before or add to the drama with 7 having an affair.
Seriously you could teach a lot of writers about giving their creations fire and passion without high drama best reserved for neurotic teens. Another thing I fell in love with is not once has janeway or 7 of 9 been labelled as lesbians by the other chars in your stories, they're simply kathryn and annika, a married couple. Looking forward to the next in the Millenium series :) Let us all know if your ever going to take the stories off the site, I'd gladly spend the cash on ink and paper to get them printed out and placed on my bookshelves next to all my other favorite authors.

Great post Sarah!

That's the beauty of this being so far in the future, it no longer matters what anyone's color, sex, preference, or religion is because humanity has moved past all of the labels! So there is no need to discuss it.

That is why I cringe whenever people start talking about bringing in a gay character to ST. It's not that I don't want it to be done, I just know that it can't be done with any kind of grace or ease. And that it will piss of countless numbers of people of all persuasions.

So it's best to just let everyones imaginations determine who may or may not be gay or straight.

Then people can go on the web & search out whatever floats thier boat.
