Well, enjoyed the book right up until the end. There was some subtext in it, certainly things we would gleefully point out if it had been an actual episode. But the end doesn't work. Though, as the Vulcans say "there are always possiblities." *G*

This is the Trek Universe. As far as the ending...what appears to be is not often what is as far as future story lines in movies and publications go. There is always an 'out' to any situation.

Captain Katie is writing a sequel of sorts to this, it's a pretty good read.....but it's not finished yet.
