My apologies to the writer! By all of your comments it appears I've been miscontrued. I was not suggesting the intimate scenes were written poorly, or that sex is wrong. And I love the comment of sexless: watch the show. I was simply giving feedback as to my own personal thoughts. I'm very far from being prude. Everywhere you turn these days all you see is women and men pushing sex. So I just want it returned to being intimate - between lovers, behind closed doors, of sorts. Intimate, romantic, soothing, caressing, exhilirating...intimate. And leave somethings to the imagination. That is where real intimacy takes place, think of Shakespeare, Sappho.... We're getting lazy in society.

G.L. Dartt is very thoughtful and a very imaginative writer and my personal views only reflect my thinking. I do not want to influence the way anyone writes. Feedback is what's requested and for sharing such a fine gift of writing, I have explained my own feelings towards what I find beautiful, as well.

There's room for everything (?). This is just from my perspective. I enjoyed all of you who imparted yours.

I actually, early on wanted to see Janeway with B'lanna. I thought they'd go up in flames. I love the character of Dr. Pulaski and I thought she and the Doctor were heading towards some rendevous? Perhaps she would be better suited with that steed, the woman in the Beowulf episode, that would seem appropriate, I see the doctor as a frontline warrior, too. I don't mind seeing a straight couple, every now and then, they're so over represented, in order to find balance you have to swing the pendulum in the other direction. I am not enjoying the character of the first officer, yet. It seemed to me that Wildman has the personality that would be suitable to her, as it seemed to indicate by her observations. I like Samantha Wildman.

I was struck by your line here and see it as directly applicable to just why I love Gina's writing so much. One doesn't have to look too terribly far to find well-written, well-rounded straight erotica, so I see Gina's work as a fantastically magnetic pull on the pendulum.

Far too many gay stories either fade to black or focus on the mechanics of what part goes where. Gina's work never loses sight of the emotions involved in a loving relationship... and there's darn little writing of that nature out there. I always found the connection between two characters to be often more erotic than the mechanics... HOW they got to bed instead of WHAT they did when they got there.

Gina offers both.
That's why her work is special.

PS... whoever said the line about "you want sexless... watch the show." LMAO!!! Too right you are. Sadly.
