She may not be looking for anything that requires more then bit parts/scenes, because in February of 2005, she opened in partnership with her fiancé, Chef Christophe Emé a restaurant named "Ortolan" and from the information on the restaurant web site she frequents the place a lot, I'm guessing as hostess. And since it's open from 6-10 PM she may prefer a shorter shooting schedule, rather than what a main player would have.
I'm just glad to see her on TV again. And her scenes with JW have been great, they really play well off each other, love the antagonism. Brings back memories <g>

Hey Gina, well Jeri's position seems to be intact for now cause Shark got the witness to "forget" who was there with him in the room, so unless the writers decide to do a whole blackmail arc I don't see this particular skeleton being revisited. I'll be honest also, I don't want Jeri to get more work in the courtroom, cause frankly much better tv trial lawyers, Stephanie March as Alex Cabot and Angie Harmon as Abbie Charmichael come to mind. I love the back room dealings that Jeri's character has however and I almost wish that she had gotten a chance to appear on "The West Wing".

"Ugly Betty" is pretty neat show, I've only seen one episode, but I wonder if the audience will get tired of being preached to eventually? It's message is so overt.

Re: Ortolan, Jeri doesn't go that often... and she would hardly host I imagine-- she doesn't seem like that kind of person to me. Rather I imagine Jeri's busy planning a wedding-- hers.
