Not medical but recalling the scans of my son I would say
around 6 weeks -On the scan all you see is a tiny pulsating
blob and for a while that's all he was - It is pretty incredible and very addictive viewing.
And If I did not have a scan every two -to- three weeks I found that I missed him (as you would a lover)which was strange considering I was carring him.
I know I digress but I hope this insight helps especially if you are putting pen to paper
