BC, I think it would have happened win or lose with Matta. He seems more intent on helping the team improve and mature over time. Skip seemed to take the attitude of, "We're lucky to be here." It irritated a lot of people, myself included. It was evident in his constant, "I'm just a high school teacher and now look at me" stance. I agree that a correlation between the UC game and the rest of the season's success is pretty ludicrous. It has all to do with the new coaching staff and attitude they bring and not with one game.
