- But why would anyone want to go to an inferior league? LaSalle and Fordham were both in the MAAC, and were not happy there. Duquesne was once a powerhouser, and we are on the verge of being one again. We are fortunate to be able to play X, Dayton, Temple, UMass, St. Joes, and other well known teams on our home court, as opposed to the little known schools in the MAAC.
