• FT% is a pretty important part of the game and whether its pre season or not, needs to be worked on...as a team the dukes were only 69% last year...thats not that good...im not trying to disrespect your post, b/c i agree with what you said about preparing your team and getting into shape, I do however believe that FT shooting is a part of preparing your team for the season, as a lot of games can be won/lost from the free throw line.   • I think that FT% directly related to the quality of the opponent. I have to look but many missed fts in the second half. Concentration levels were down at this point. I think that contributed to the awful performance. (NT) -- A83, Sunday, November 08, 11:46:15am

      • i agree that there could be a mental letdown based on exhbition game, but 20-42 is pretty awful and its one of many things this team needs to work. i wasnt there so I can only go by what you guys that were there say. if you look back on last season, some of these teams we blew out, our ft% was excellent while games we got hammered and almost blew(xavier), the ft% was not great (NT) -- c, Sunday, November 08, 12:34:02pm

You miss FTs like Duquesne did last night because, well, you just got done winning the first half by 35 points. Human nature takes over. I'll bet it's not easy to "be a in a zone." • Don't have a clue? I guarantee you Ron is not happy today about the free throw shooting regardless of the margin of victory. If you think he will excuse this performance as just a let down againts an inferior team you are clueless. Ron is a better coach than that. The season starts in less than a week , and we better be ready and that includes free throw shooting because we will not win many games shooting like we did last night.
