1. Reopen the season ticket lounge:
I think they're trying to keep people out of that area. I dunno. Can't be bad, but I never liked that you can't actually see the game. Now that we have something worth seeing, finally...

2. Remove or update the mural inside the bleacher side entrance:
Yes!! And they still have the old logo there. The new one is SO much cooler and looks amazing. This needs to happen.

3. Take out the metal detectors:
Hard to justify, after what happened.

4. Better in-game activities
I also agree with this. I think they need to be more selective about where they give these things. If I see one more pizza go to opposing fans, or balls and shirts thrown nowhere near the kids in the audience...

5. Do something about the band
They shot themselves in the foot there. In doing what they did, they quashed the support that they had. The leash was tightened. Kind of like how after the hawk-plucking student support was killed.

6. Bring back the duke mascot
Pieces of the mascot suit were continuously lost due to ineptitude of previous mascot-costume users and of those in charge of it.

7. Discount Promotions
Also a good idea for a bad-timing game, or for thanksgiving break when the students are gone.

Let the "Big Head" Duke costume continue to hang in the closet. A duke is a real human being, not a bird, fruit, vegetable, color, or cartoon character. Our mascot needed be a caricature of a duke. Why not let the mascot be a student dressed in a black tuxedo with tails, a top hat, & walking stick. This was last done successfully in the mid '70s, I believe. It helps if the the person serving as the mascot can be animated & be a pretty good dancer. As part of the introduction of a "real person" Duke mascot, perhaps at half time there could be a burning of "Duke, the bear" costume. (NT) -- Always a Duke, Wednesday, July 23, 06:11:28pm
- The "big-headed" Duke looked like the "Butcher" from the movie "Gangs of New York". With that expression on his face, he looked like a ravenous murderer, just like the "Butcher".
