I agree that Alvarez will be at 3rd at some point next year so the lineup I'd like to see given the Pirates' current roster and available free agents is below. I'd have Laroche at 3rd until Alvarez arrives then send Andy to the bench to bump Neil Walker down to the minors.

C - Doumit, Jaramillo
1B - Jones
2B - Sanchez
SS - Cedeno
3B - Alvarez
LF - Milledge
CF - McCutcheon
RF - Ankiel

Bench - Laroche, Moss, Young, Pierce

Pitchers at another time.
