No reason to right now. When a completely new model comes out, it costs a lot of money to re-tool everything. But to keep producing a vehicle with the same parts year after year costs very little. As long as the sales justify it, no matter how stellar, it's worth prodding along.

What keeps it alive is that there is nothing else quite like it. A lot of SUVs, like the Pathfinder, have morphed into crossovers, which get better gas mileage.
