Subject: Beetle Paint - how much ?

 I've got a beetle to paint - does anyone know how much paint (in the gun) I'll need for one coat of my beetle ? I've not bought any paint yet and have to work out how much I need - given that different types of paint have different thinning ratios, I'm most interested in how much thinned/mixed paint you will need to put in the gun for one good coat of my vdub. I'm changing the colour completely i.e. door shuts, engine bay, under bonnet etc - but since paint is mentally expensive, don't want to bankrupt myself by buying too much or scream for buying too little. Any advice appreciated . . .
