Glad the engine is doin fine, could do with one for my 'ole van...next project me thinks!
I'm probably going to kill my 1600 by towing me bug to Pod next weekend! Yeah...can't wait!

Have you or anyone else tried to fit a tow bar onto an early bay?
I wrestled with it for a day, as the threads in the chassis legs hadn't been used for 31 years! Also, Just Kampers supplied me with 2 left handed drop arms and as they are 'out of stock' I was faced with having to grind and weld one into a right hand drop arm! Next, I was suposed to use the bolts that come with the rear tray when mounting the cross bar, only to find that they aren't long enough! Plus 2 of the treaded inserts in the chassis box section were knackered and the other 2 were...'missing'. So I had to weld on captive nuts with longer bolts supplied from good 'ole B&Q! The instructions say 2 hours to complete...good job there is a street light just behind me...

Love the Nova Dave, another welcome addition to your driveway...they always bring a smile to my face as I can't help imagining the pink panther climbing out of one! Not sure why?
By the way, you must have got Tracey on tranqs?

Total VW ... DEAD! Oh dear...bit of a shame though I rarely buy magazines I'll miss it.

Cheers for now...
