Over the years I've aquired many odds & sodds for that project that I've always been threatening to do, however limitations of space force me to sell my hoard, there may be other things to follow but of the top of my head this is what's available

Mid 70's beetle floorpan, good frame head and spine, pans not bad but one side had very minor accident damage (3 point seat type)

1302s rear end, gearbox, trailing arms, drive shafts, torsion bars, torsion tube etc. still assembled, was cut from car ahead of torsion tube

1700 T4 engine (FI model) bare short motor (up to cyl heads)was good runner but stood for years (dry stored)

Golf GTI interior Mk2 was bought to put in beetle 10 years ago, was only couple of years old at time of purchase so is in very good nick, again dry stored

set of genuine VW front disc brake stub axles, everything ecept discs, reconditioned girling calipers, new pads seals bearings

pair of empi sway a ways, blister packed bought about 12 years ago, never used

please E Mail any sensible offers or questions, I will be away on hol till 19th August but will reply to all enquiries after that.

should i retard this ps the heads are semi hemi cut for a 1776.
and will the car still start if istatic time it up to 2deg before tdc ? or tdc ?
this is a total of aprox 28 deg total advance is that right ?

shafts braking, and I've personally witnessed seeing one. If anyone
has had bad experience with there transmission, please let me know. It
may be pure happenstance that I saw the same guys extended mainshaft.
Also, does anyone know anything about the new crankshaft that clyde is

clyde just cutting corners and not nitriding so they can make more
profit?

hi, I'm looking to fit a bigger exhaust to my 1641cc type one lump, its mainly a cosmetic move but with a decent 4-1 header I should get some power gain. anyway does anyone know how I can fit a large stainless (pheonix/A1 type) exhaust to my relatively low cc engine; bearing in mind that I'm using stock exhaust valves I don't want to upset the motor exhaust vaccum flowing.oh and I wanna keep using my heat exchangers.
I think there must be some way of restricting the flow, the header will do most of the clever stuff, sorry, fussy I know but thats why I'm looking for help, perhaps you have done this mod yourseld and can recogmend the parts.

1957 swedish import splitty for sale, dumped at front with new ajustable beam and the back is on the reduction boxes but I have got a bug box to go with it. Dark green top and light green bottom, 1300cc, no interior but I did start to put a intterior together (wooden floor, sound system etc) working semaphores, 10 months MOT. The down side of things is that the King & link pins are knackered, the engine leaks, and a few other bits need doing because I drive it to work everyday things have got on top of me. I would do the jobs myself but I'm moving away in September and have not got the time or money due to been made redundant (great). I paid £4000 for it, and then bought the correct bumpers, NOS backlights and other vbits that was not there. So I would like to get my money back but I'm open to offers. De-seamed exterior, smoothed dashboard, electric washer, Raid sterring wheel, Corbeau GT sports seats mounted on Thump Thump "floating" seat frames. Mot'd until May 2003, taxed until end April 2003.

Additional parts yet to be fitted included in the price - M7 one piece windows and lifters, M7 alarm and central locking unit and WIDE adaptors for the alarm.

Needs some finishing (inner front wing, front valance) before painting. Current daily driver, totally reliable and quick (still has 1300 gearbox), would make ideal base for euro-looker or custom.

I have recently bought a 1835 Type 1 engine. It is currently running 36 Dell's with stock heads. It has stock crank, rods, Mahle pistons, Engle 110 cam, full flow oil/external cooler.
I was thinking about going for 044 (single or dual spring??) heads and Weber 44IDF carbs. Would this be a sensible step? I thought Weber 44's, as I am thinking I may want a capacity increase in future! The engine is to go into a beetle that sees occasional weekend use and travelling to shows (ie up/down motorways 2-3 times p.a). Any other worthwhile improvements you think would give a bit more pep whilst still maintaining reliabilty would be appreciated.
Sorry about all the questions but I'm new to performance aircooled engines.

Cheers in advance, Chris.

- 3 units of 010 dissys for sale, all are in good condition, tight shaft, one unit even has the original factory seal( i think it is coz the seal is brown in colour) and also the original funny looking Bosch rotor. all three WILL need new caps, rotor, points and condenser....all have points and condenser attached to them, some look quite new, but not sure if they still work coz i never used any of them.anyway, these are essential parts to be changed on any used distributors.all the nuts, springs are complete. untouched ever since i got them...50 pounds each
-1 set of cap(correct brown colour, not Black), rotor and points for the 010 distributor....all are BRAND NEW...however not BOSCH, BUT made by Intermotor...all in boxes...20 pounds for everything....i repeat NO condenser here.

-1 set of Porsche aluminium nuts for the whole car...i think should be 20 pieces, never check yet...all very good thread....20 pounds

-Dellorto 40 DRLAs....ex Alfa CARBs...very clean, tight shafts, never done anything to the jetting, so they are what ALFA gave them.I only loosened all the screws to make sure they are not seized, sprayed them with WD40 and coated with oil and light grease....meant to be used as spares for my other carb sets....100 pounds

- 1 set of BOLT ON shafts complete with 1.1:1 rockers...good condition....stored in a ice cream box and covered with oil....so no rust....not sure what brand....25 pounds

- Berg Igniter ignition for sale, brand new UNUSED, complete with box and Berg instructions.....only thing is I have punched 2 holes on the instructions so that i can file them properly...120 pounds or may wana part exchange with a MSD 6AL box. Box MUST be good.

I can bring the parts to BUG Jam, but i would prefer to bring whatever is NEEDED only as i don't have a car to store and lock up unsold parts...

also extra weight makes my backpack very heavy....:-(

sorry no pics but i will try to be as specific as i can...hey, i am honest.

need money for more serious parts.

Anyone knows if VWSpeedshop,Taylor Machine Services and John Maher Racing will have a stall at BugJam?

forgot to say that i need to sell the one of the dissy with the cap, points and rotor....no point keeping 1 distributor without those parts....
also no time wasters please, please do not make me bring these parts and not turning up for them. I don't mind if they are made of Plastic or if I have a car....

i will not hesitate to name anyone who does that here in the Forum so that nobody trusts them anymore.
