The lithe female rat approached the pair, her calm feral eyes fixed upon them. They were not amazingly striking eyes, slightly slanted and the colour of rainwet slate. Her grey-brown fur was unkempt, matted with dried blood in some parts. Both her ears were in tatters; the left was tattooed on the inside with a tribal swirl. The scarred arm on the same side was covered with a spiked armguard, which had one long, curved prong sweeping upwards from the centre. On the belt which kept her dark brown pants up were two weapons, one a longish straight sword with a thin, whippy blade, bound with animal sinew. The other was a jagged, twisted blade which stretched into a deadly bloodstained point. She kept her paw on the handle of the latter as she spoke, her voice grating and gravelly. "I 'eard you was doin' a blade-duel. Would yeh like one more competiter?"
