Setting aside the usual should do/shouldn't do of website posting for actors...have you heard of these people down south? Seems a little "generic" to me. This e-mail is circulating through various Bay Area actors...

California Casting is a new company designed to be an online talent registry.
We will be at http://www.californiacasting.com , but not until January 2000.
Until then, we are building our database with professional talent, models, singer, dancers, musicians, and any other performers. We will not accept everyone, and require that you have professional photos and resumes to submit to us. We also require that you live in California or are willing to travel here for assignments. We will not charge the talent any money to register, and are not involved in any photographer scams or anything of that sort. California Casting is owned by Southern California talent, and we will not take advantage of anyone. Not an agency, but only a registry for talent, we will accept up to 5 photos and your resumes for our database. Your photo and resume (but not personal information) will be made available to clients such as photographers, producers, casting directors, web sites, and more. If you are a model, please state what types of work you are available for. If you would like any questions answered, please email us at californiacasting@mail.com .
