100 SJ-points to anyone who can identify that quote.

So, how's this for my first week in NYC:

Monday, I came home raring to go, and collapsed.
Tuesday, I came home to collapse, but I wasn't that tired. My roommate had a friend over, and we all had dinner and watched the Exorcist. Late night.
Wednesday, I get to work groggy from the late night, and I hear the office manager talking to the president, saying "I can't go, but I'll see if Suzyn is free." So I'm off to an internet show at the big convention center with the president (Mark, my boss). Then, our internet service providers had rented out Mars 2112, a big nightclub, for a party, so we went there. We were talking away, and I said we should go somewhere where we didn't have to shout, soooo... he took me to dinner at his private cigar club, which happens to be the private cigar club of such as DeNiro and Schwarzenegger... I think the high point of the evening was making eye contact with Alec Baldwin in the hall. Man, oh, man he's gorgeous. So I go home giddy
and my roomie is doing the sound design for a show in NJ, and when that's over with, he pulls out his guitar and starts playing - lovely stuff, I must say. Another late night.
Thursday, I'm standing at the stove, trying to wolf down my coffee and egg when Mr. Roomie stumbles out of his room and invites me to the dress rehearsal of a one-man-show his friend is doing that evening. It's free - he wants the practice with a friendly audience. The show was great, and my roommate knew the director, and somehow I ended up having a great conversation with the director's 7-year-old daughter.
Tonight I was supposed to go out with some old friends, but I just didn't have the energy. I stayed home.

So - you can see why I haven't been around!

How's everyone else?

SJ
